Hosts!

We are Trevor and Kathryn Rudisill - in 2018 we quit our jobs, sold our house and 90% of our belongings and took a perspective changing round-the-world trip; when we returned we knew we wanted life to look different, we just didn't know exactly how. We spent the first year and a half flipping houses back in our hometown. We were thankful and challenged. Then, one Sunday afternoon our lives changed forever - we found a retired Gold and Gem Mining Operation on the Second Broad River with nine tiny cabins that needed LOVE. We packed up our one-year old (and another bun in the oven) and moved our family to Western North Carolina to renovate the property into a Riverfront Glamp-ground (see: Gold River Camp + Cabins Website). 

We love creating spaces that cultivate community, encourage connection and make people feel loved.

Thanks to our travels, we’ve committed to creating spaces that are inspired by the lifestyle of Southeast Asia, the Hospitality of Eastern Europe and the Work Ethic of Africa, and we're hoping to share the favorite parts of our travels with all of our guests! We can’t wait to meet you!
